- Each egg or sperm has only half of the amount of DNA from other cells. When the to combine they make one full set of DNA.
- As time passes the egg will divide multiple times, grow and and change; finally the egg will turn into a seed with a tiny plant inside.
- Every cell in the new plant will have the same DNA
- In various cases, the other parts of the flower( sepal, pistil, stamen, etc.) will grow around the seed to make a food such as an apple or orange.
- The young plant will look just like it's mom and dad except for some minor differences (i.e. color).
